The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) in Mpumalanga is currently visiting the Fernie 2 Local community Hall in Mpuluzi to render companies on the community.

SASSA are going to be rendering companies including new social grant applications, change of payment method, client care enquiries, plus the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) COVID-19 grant enquiries.

In a statement, the agency claimed it's alarmed about the substantial number of people relying on social grants for survival.
“The intention of your Integrated Registration Outreach Programme [ICROP] is to reach-out to a substantial variety of clients/beneficiaries to access SASSA services.

“This can be mainly because of the lack of infrastructure at Fernie and there's no fully functional office dedicated to service the area each day. The provider position established for intervention ordeals a superior inflow of probable beneficiaries, that makes it SRD hard to the office to attend to all people who go to a service point.

“In this reach-out programme, SASSA will mobilise more means to help the servicing of all shoppers and enhance entry to Social Assistance solutions,” the agency said.
